You said:

"Justice does not call on us to intervene forcefully against people who will likely at some point develop an intent to do harm"

Now, by arguing over many posts (as you have done) that the human dna carried by the mother as a potential offspring has or ought to have rights of a person by virtue of that genetic structure, you are implying that the abortion of that potential offspring is or ought to be considered as murder. It follows necessarily that when anyone (whether 4 in 10 or 9 in 10 or 3 in 10)--ANYONE--who colludes with a doctor, or anybody else, with specific plans to abort this human dna (at whatever stage of development),----are planning a crime which ought to carry the same penalties as it does for any other person committing a crime against a person (conspiracy to commit murder is certainly a crime). As well, the person so threatened (in this case the mother's embryo) ought to be afforded protection by the police through forcible confinement of the mother and any and other appropriate measures.

I(f you are not willing to prosecute the mother and the doctor in such a matter, then you are essentially dismissing the rights of the mother's embryo and additionally you are arguing in an illogical and inconsistent manner. Real people have these protections. you DO know that, don't you???

"Some group being statistically likely to commit some crime, even extreme cases of them being very statistically likely to do so does not equal a state where everyone in that group has committed a crime, or is currently plotting to do so."

You are missing the point. Plotting murder is a crime. It is normally prosecuted. Colluding with a doctor to "murder" a "person" (your words) would be a heinous crime.

The most FUNDAMENTAL right is the right to life. An egg has that right or it does not. If it does have that right then the mother does not. It doesn't take a genius fella?? Just sit and think for a few minutes and don't be stupid...
