The 2012 Republican primaries could be a modern version of the Roman Colosseum if they aren't careful. Imagine Romney, Palin, Gingrich, Jindal, Pawlenty and maybe a few more characters further to the right tearing each other to pieces trying to be the biggest, baddest, hardass winger for the primary voters. In the meantime, Obama can raise a zillion dollars, coast through the whole season making positive appearances then wait to see which winger emerges on the other side.
