The definition of a child acting like a brat is this post from Dale Baker who banned me from his left wing thread (ridiculously named "View From the Center"). Message 26026807 The fact is I followed all the rules of his thread, and was repeatedly attacked by left wing posters, while Dale at times openly cheered the attacks and violations of his own thread rules. I believe it's an SI TOU violation to ban someone from a thread, while simultaneously slandering them in repeated public posts. But for a child like Dale, it's just his style. Funny thing is I realized Dale may have a difficult time reading my posts on his board, so on more than one occasion I wrote and told him if wanted me to stop posting on his board, to just ask via pm and I would gladly leave. Unfortunately, his need for attention and need to stand on a soap box got the better of him. I suspect his teenage like behavior is linked to his frustration and inability to muster a logical argument in support of the many hard left positions he defends on a routine basis. Cognitive dissonance often frustrates ideologues.

Guess who said this after uncerimoniously banning greenspirit for telling inconvenient truths? << My rule going forward is that a basic respect for the thread, its atmosphere and others posting here is a prerequisite to participate. I know that's anathema to many who want their "political debate" full of taunts and insults, but my opinion of those folks equals their opinion of me. The difference is, I don't spend all day screeching and venting about the anklebiters. I just put them on MUTE. Worked well for years now. >> Message 26026675
