BTW, I just made my first trip to Whole Foods, too bad it is about 40 minutes one way.

What a nice experience with plenty of good healthy food. Too bad the prices are stiff.

Precisely our experience, though we live close enough to two of them, perhaps 20 minutes away.

Because the "stiff" prices, we make Whole Foods our grocery shopping place every other time. We head to a Shop Rite on the other trips for things Whole Food doesn't have or prices much too extravagantly.

"Both of my parents worked. This lack of supervision allowed me ample opportunity to do things I prevented my kids from doing. Attitudes about drugs and alcohol are much different now."

Same here.

I ran wild. My kids are amazing by comparison. I'm so glad I could be home to watch over them, and make sure they had the support to do things that were wholesome. I am grateful every day that my kids never got in to the things I did- parental supervision is huge. Obviously it has to be done in a loving and clever way, so it doesn't seem heavy handed, and the kids rebel.
