I suspect that in time Dell will emerge from all this as a much different and stronger company. However, it sure won't resemble the Dell of old.

I can't help but remember Kimble's words, "Someday, Dell will own it all." So much for that.

With respect to Customer Service, my advice to all when it comes to buying an extended warranty is to save your money. You'll essentially get no help when you need it the most. It's a waste of money.

re: 'This time, lots of talk about how Mikey is 'speeding things up', has revamped top management, and has now changed his tune about 'large acquisitions'. Unfortunately, there was no talk at all in the article about 'consumer customer service'...

Mikey better do some fancy talking during the conference call after this Q earnings results....
