What's tough is the market NOW. What's the direction?

fearless prediction: something different from what it's been for the last six months. now, the last six months have been UP, so to be different from that, the next six months could be:

1. D*WN
2. sideways, choppy

neither 1 nor 2 would satisfy bears or bulls. if i was going to make a big bet now i'd probably just sell calls, as that would work if either 1 or 2 occurs. whether time premia are sufficiently high to justify the risk, i don't know.
