Because Obama respects knowledge, education and the wise ones of all cultures. He knows to learn from them and pass on that knowledge. Bush bragged about being a C student and catching a really big pearch in his pond. He was a doofus. Cheerleader and frat rat. Bush and cheney ran away from fighting in the Viet Nam war because they were scared. Bush did not like educated people around him. And that is the reason only 6% of scientists are Republican. It is the anti intellectual party. All the while China builds an army of intellectuals and scientists. Pretty soon they will pass us up on computer and scientific technology. The we will be vulnerable to them if we have not worked out an alliance with them and imporive our educational system. Calling educated people elitists, and celebrating ifnorance, is not the way to meet the challenge of Russia and China.
