or it could be some missing synapse I agree with you on the meaning of vacant. that was the point of the song. as to the quoted... I don't know. how does a large portion of a generation come to be missing that synapse, which I think is the crux... but in real terms, it should only be a small number, not a large portion. so I can't blame it on them altogther. something just came together... between one generation and the next... with no ill-intent... but... we know what we got. and we still got it on Wall Street. and it is not pretty. it's pretty vacant. question is... how do we kill the viris?
