Ish...............I was told those things (at least close to those things) by a careless Mother that didn't know any better. Her Mother told her that and she was too ignorant to ignore the harsh words. It made her bitter and confused. Something inside of me rebelled at that notion and I was my own best advocate. I promised myself I would never act that way towards another human being, and I don't (well......except when I call liberals names......but I don't direct my feelings to one individual........well unless they put themselves in the spotlight, but that's different.) I was blessed with a loving Father who taught me all about the wonders of the world and made me look outside myself instead of inward. I'm carelessly naive about my own psychological needs, but the burning curiosity I have negates any underlying desire for attention or what not.....for the most part. IOW I don't dwell on any perceived anguish or "blues" for too long because there is too much to learn and do. As a result, I have found love and understanding from others.
