Living in harmony with baboons means recognizing they are simply following instinct. Though baboons are protected by law, they are regularly shot, stoned, poisoned and harassed by people and by dogs.

Baboons have a clearly defined social structure within the troop. Each has a place in baboon society - from the Alpha or dominant male, with his powerful build and long canines which quickly command respect, to the tiny, black furred baby clinging upside down to his mother’s tummy.

As you know living in Africa taught me to accommodate the creatures.
