An analyst at DLJ indicated that AAM recently turned down a take=out offer for $25/share. Assuming this is true---or even isn't---the stock will start moving north on speculation as well as an encouraging earnings report. Time to accumulate for a nice $5 trading profit at least, similar to this time last quarter........

Tom,
My broker at Quick-Reilly confirmed the earnings for aam,in fact I sold my 500 shares at 18.I don't remember where I saw earnings. Now they came out with good earnings.Do you own aam?I am not that astute, except to say that I bought gte a few days ago at 43 1/16 vs buying aam at about 12 now aam is 151/2 and gte is 43 3/16;he who laughs last laughs last.At least my broker pointed out that with gte i will sleep nights. What do you think. Are you familiar with asnd paid 38 now 26 5/16.Merrill rates it 3 2 neutral short term buy long term.Have a nice day. Jack
