Yes, they are.......its what has made the US housing industry so successful since WW II. However, this last go around......they got fooled. The crooked lenders mixed good loans with bad loans in a way that it was very difficult to decipher which was which.

Also, the mortgage business likely has more crooked Democrats in it than Republicans. Look who the big recipients of donations from them are.

Dude, I was in real estate.......most lenders are Rs, not Dems. Rs have become very crooked over the years.
