US, Japanese stock markets.

The Dow has the look of a downtrend now with a lower high in early October at 8200 and a lower low near 7000 Monday. We've recovered to 7440 now, but I'm definitely concerned about the Dow's technical picture. tscn.com

As for the already depressed Nikkei, it didn't find much support at the double bottom around 17,200. It's at 16,500 now. tscn.com

With two of the world's major markets looking weak, I'd be very cautious in this market. Anyone with significant margin balances might want to take advantage of the recent rally and consider reducing their debt. Long term (5-10+ years), I think stocks will outperform the majority of asset classes.
