As compared say to TH who runs The Epic American Credit and Bond Bubble Laboratory thread... who has now decided (for the moment) do away with any rules what so ever?Message 26026879 I dont know how long that will last, but somehow I dont see chaos or the inmates burning down the asylum over there. I think this thing might be a bit of ego on the part of the thread manager, or if not that, perhaps a window onto a bit of the Brazilian character, re respect for authority, however constituted. It is not a pretty thing, Elmat. Perhaps it is not a coincidence that you picked that moniker? IMHO some moderation is needed on a thread. There is at least one character (cant think of his name at the moment) that used to lurk here, and engaged in deception, grandstanding, and degrading other players. Its good that he is not here now, and it was the right thing to ban him. However, IMHO, the "ban" switch should be reserved for folks that are clearly trouble makers, who disrespect the other participants, or who are lairs. So I would go a little easier on the "ban" switch. I personally don't think our friend from NZ deserved it, and it reflects poorly on you... and if this kind of thing is a national character trait, your country. Just my humble opinion. Now, re Gib, I don't agree with much he has to say... and in fact I don't pay attention to most of it. But it disturbs me that he is gone for what I see is insufficient reason, executed with little warning, little cause, and in a caviler manner. However, that may be your way. Consider changing it... for the good of all concerned -- including you.
