For me, WMT under $50 is okay for an add, and I've taken on a few more shares today.

TSCDY (Tesco PLC) is one you might want to consider in place of SVU. This is the other super market I own and plan on adding shares on any sell off. They are considered the "other" Walmart. Tesco pays a slightly higher dividend (3% vs 2%) than WMT and may have better growth prospects.

Tesco has exposure to several other business lines (non-food) as well. It also provides geographic diversification w/ stores around the world (including India & China).

My current buys include 12/2007 and 2/2008 at higher prices. Stock has been as high as $30.00 and as low as $13.00 in the last 24 months. I would like to ad share between $16-$18 on any sell off.

WINN @9.92$ - regional grocery chain with crummy fundamentals but a good balance sheet. it looks like they are trading 20% below tangible book and have with 130M$ in net cash on their balance sheet. They are renovating their stores (sorely needed as I can glean) and turn around their business. In for a small starter. Anybody has any first hand customer experience or perspective?

Hi Paul - Earnings must have leaked out for SVU as the stock is up over 10%. Hard to figure out with this company but LT I do think its a good value hold w/ all their real estate.

I continue to hold shares and will hold off selling anything until management discusses their expectations for this recovery.

EDIT: Rumors of LBO for the company....<developing>
