I bought one of those in Oceanside and sold it ten years later for 5x it's mortgage value, tax free. I imagine everyone knows at least ONE person that has made out like a bandit with RE. Its the reason I was able to survive all these years. I bought a 30 apt. building in Hollywood for $300K.....totally a wreck and before Hollywood came back from the dead. Had to rehab and reoccupy it. It was a cash cow.
