The thrill of owning a piece of the Packers I guess.

Packer fans are funny folks. I mean how many folks stand for 4 hours partying in the parking lot drinking beer and doing brats on the grill before the game when it's zero or worse:)

I forget who I mentioned my dying uncle to and who reminded me of the wisdom of the elders and how now... eeek, we are the elders...

anyways, he passed away yesterday.

I realized his eldest is 63ish. I reckon we really are the eldest. It's hard to imagine the children I romped with (tho Mickey was the 'big boy') are into their 60's.

much food has been cooked and brought to the family and everyone has been able to come here for the funeral tomorrow.

He had alzheimers, but their daughter moved in and they were able to keep him at home, with help from a home-nurse. The last couple of months he was so weak that he would fall and not be able to get up and my 80 year old aunt couldn't manage it... but she get him a pillow and sit with him until help came. many neighbors and their church friends pitched in for things ilke sitting with him to give my aunt time to shop or have a lunch out.

and he was able to be home.

all in all... rather decent, aye?

my best to uncle Paul, as best an uncle as a gal could have. there's no one left to tell me about Papa (grandfather) dragging the plow up the mountain to work the fields, though.
