It is relevant because some people obviously come here to poke the liberals with a stick- even though they can do that on numerous other boards, they choose to come here to 1. show their little friends on other boards what big brave right wingers they are and 2. to bug people who obviously don't travel to boards where wingers of both sides fight each other. Now you might want to ask yourself, why do right wingers feel compelled to chase down liberals who clearly do not want to talk to them?

I'll tell you why. It's a power trip. Some people think they have an inalienable right to go where ever they want to go, act however they want to act, and talk to whom ever they wish to talk to.

This thread leans left. Deal with it. Move on. If people come here poking the moderator with a stick, maybe the moderator will grab that stick and put them on ignore and ban them, and more power to him for doing that. If I wanted food fights I go back and post on FADG- but I'm tired of the insult fests, and the hidden needle like posts. It's just boring and stupid and pointless- and some people just want to post to people who are NOT trying to push their buttons. If you like food fights you can see them all over SI. You won't have to look far.

Because in 700+ posts he a couple of times talks about "the lemmings on the far left" or words to that effect?

That seriously misstates the number of those kinds of observations. But that wasn't my problem. It wasn't the point of view that was the problem, it was Michael's desire to taunt. That's, finally, the only reason he came over here. My guess is that, like all of us, he had a variety of motives and they changed sometimes in the conversational process. But his presence over here was rather simply understood.

They all had the tone of "ya ya ya, you are one, too, so there".

And that's not a reason to have a conversation. Moreover, it created a climate here which was retaliatory. Not very healthy; and definitely, at least for some of us, not much fun.
