I didn't quote you as saying you wanted to keep blacks down. But did you or did you not liken Obama to Lincoln and FDR.

What I did was say you might be right about that - but not for reasons you think.

Of those two, FDR especially did what he could to hold blacks down - instituting the first redlining to prevent blacks from getting home and farm loans. So I said in fact, Obama shares something with FDR since Obama has worked against the interest of poor blacks just as FDR did.

Lincoln is more of a mixed record - he did free the slaves and ran on a party platform calling for abolition. OTOH he didn't think blacks and whites could live in peace and Obama has said similar things in his "autobiography" so there are similarities there too.

So I didn't misquote you - I actually agreed with what you said, just not for reasons you would understand.
