What you are saying Brumar is patronizing!! You are saying blacks do not have enough sense to know who their friends and enemies are. The black community has had the shit kicked out of them for 400 years. Slavery, chain gangs, and segregation. You can be goddamn sure they know who their enemies and friends are. They are the ones who help them out. The dems have always been their friends by doing things THEY wanted done! Not whatever the frigen hell you want! Look at what happened to Sotomayor! What do you think George Wallace and Strom Thurmond were doing? JFK and Bobby Kennedy called out the national guard to protect the black community in the 60's. There were no Republicans that ever protected them. You go into many African American homes and you will see three pictures. MLK, JFK and Bobby Kennedy. Because the Kennedy's worried about them and tried to protect them and liberate them. That was a pretty big deal. When one is getting the shit beat out of them they do not want philosophical theories on how to live their lives, they want safety and fairness and a friggen job! >> majority of black people favor school choice and a voucher system to supplement failing public schools, favor controlling illegal immigration, and are conservative on values issues like gay marriage (see CA vote - 70% of blacks in the most liberal state voted against it). The first two of those issues very negatively affect poor blacks - its their kids that are stuck in failing schools and their young people who can't get the entry level jobs illegal aliens from third world countries take. Yet black people vote for the party which is against their interest on important issues. Its tragic. A minority has opened their eyes and we can hope more will over time.
