They trimmed the headline figure by a few tens of billions, but if one of these bills goes in to effect the real cost will be a lot more. Its hard to say if there is any real savings since both figures are distortions. Still I suppose even among trillions of dollars of costs tens of billions of savings (if they are real) is something.

The fact is we're not going to know because there is no truth in this process and they are taking every possible measure to make sure no truth leaks out of the process.

The accountant in me assesses that tens of billions of dollars are immaterial in the scope of trillions of dollars.

Regardless, the Healthcare Takeover is about putting liberal zealots in position to punish people for failing to support them. The huge budgetary over runs are not important to them.
