Earnings report Nov.20 after market close.

I may be the wrong person to ask regarding AMAT. My opinion is always a "BUY". Just what they said, "If you love the stock 3
monts ago, you gotta love it NOW".

My investment outlook for AMAT is like Lester e. Buy and hold forever. My outlook for AMAT is very bright. Assuming a conservative value of $60 for AMAT by end of 1998, thats close to a 100% form its value now.

Good luck.

By the way, I forgot to mention that historically, AMAT splits every 2 years. This was inspite of the downturn in 96. Assuming the gloom and doom forecast on the semi will happen, and history will repeat, the stock will be around $110 by Oct 1999. From a $33 value now, that is close to 300% return for 2 years or 150% per year. Where else can we find a better return like that.

Also, most of the revenues by AMAT now is the 200 mm. Can you imagine what the revenue will be if the 300 mm fabs take off. Another thing is AKT which Kumar had indicated is very strong.

Good luck.
