Since silencing any dissenting opinion is a goal of the "liberals", and they run just about everything, it is a valid cause for concern. I really don't understand it. There was a time when liberals were defenders of such a basic human right as free speech and the right to dissent, and today they're just about politics.

RW is playing with you. Let it go. This is not the eastern bloc nor the Soviet Union. Your freedoms are not about to get curtailed. They had all kinds of freedoms listed in their meaningless constitutions in the Soviet Union. But exercising them by expressing a dissenting opinion would get the person into gulag. Good point! That's maybe why Obama is slow to close gitmo. Clever guy that Obama.
