We have already heard from GloFo about 32nm slips.

If you have been following AMD for any length of time you already know that nobody other than a few devoted posters here believe AMD/GloFlo's process schedules. They're simply fantasy and nobody in their right mind believes them.

Re:"We have already heard from GloFo about 32nm slips."

Not a point of concern for me at this point and apparently not for the market either. I doubt 32nm on the current architecture would make much of a performance difference except perhaps getting the power down and making the niche more profitable.

While I believe process is critical, I have always leaned toward whoever had the best design. That is why I am more interested in bulldozer than 32nm, although I understand both are necessary for success. This is also why I have tended to be attracted to AMD. Anyone who achieves performance parity/superiority (as was the landscape 2+ years ago), yet is one or two process generations behind is interesting.

I guess it is the difference between rooting for gas mileage and rooting for whoever made the most horsepower. The prius never stirred my blood.
