Some people absolutely refuse to move on and forget it. I had a friend once that was a sweet person, but I had to break off the relationship. I just couldn't stand hearing about the same old stories over and over and over again even though I begged her to talk about something else. It must have been like one of those old records with a scratch or nick out of it. You know! The ones the kept repeating that one part of the song. Like the Chinese water torture. It was literally insane.
