Partly, I believe NOW Intel has to appear to play nice, because of the anti-trust reasons. Why they didn't kill them off THEN (in the 90's) is a bit beyond me. They K5 days would have been a perfect opportunity, but why Intel and AMD do what they do is sometimes a mystery.

AMD is good inspiration for Intel workers and gives ex-Intel employees like you and Engel some purpose in life. Albeit a waste of time.
