Hilarious surveillance video showing an intoxicated man looking to buy more beer at a convenience store is getting a second life now that it's been re-edited into a silent-movie-style clip.

The original video debuted online last week, showing footage from Oct. 6, purportedly from a convenience store in an unspecified location.

That video, which has received more than 400,000 hits on YouTube, can be seen below in case you missed it:

But now the clip has been given "the silent treatment" by the folks at Mustache and Monocle, who added some piano music and script-board dialogue to turn the footage into an instant black-and-white classic, already getting more than 108,000 hits.

They've given it the working title, "Larry Goes to the Market," seen here:

While some viewers are questioning the authenticity of the surveillance video, others are simply applauding the quality of the remake:

"The original video? was funny, but this lends so well to the silent-film style, it's scary."
"Just when I thought the original was the greatest video I've seen, you've actually improved on perfection. Well done, sir."
"If it's fake, he? deserves an award for that performance. If it's not fake, he deserves more beer :-)."
