If Obama is getting forced against his will to continue the status quo, I see no reason why he shouldn't or couldn't tell the American people that.

You certainly can't accuse me of Beckism (since I was booted from the #1 Beck fan club board), but I am disappointed with Obama. The rhetoric of the campaign was so good, I thought there was going to be some much-needed ass-kicking, but his actions since getting the job have been a different story entirely. We can speculate endlessly about his motives, but the bare fact is that in many crucial areas there is very little difference between his policies and those of GWB. This is not what I expected. His appointments in the financial sphere, leaving Goldman Sachs in control, are very telling.
