Higher claims is bullish because the Fed won't raise rates soon.

Lower claims is bullish because the economy is improving.

Yes, this market could run to 1250 Spoos, I'm just not very
comfortable with this liquidity feast. The economy still sucks,
unemployment sucks, the fiscal situation sucks,
and the DOW/gold ratio turned lower in late August. Oil to $100
again? The only thing that does not suck is Goldman's
bonuses, but that may be just rats abandoning sinking ship. -g-

Crude has been running faster than Spoos.
