The book he references at the end, "Small is Beautiful" by E.F. Schumacher, rates as one of the most influential for me that I've read. Simple genius.

i like the idea of considering what the implications of peak oil are for MPT, but other than show a couple of charts of EF (without explaining what it really is), he doesn't really do anything. i guess his basic idea is pursue quality of life. who can argue with that? but general advice like that cloaked in a pseudo-explication of the effects of peak oil on MPT doesn't quite live up to the expectations i had upon seeing the title slide.
