I was looking at Oracle's 5 year chart and noticed a predictable pattern. Every March it takes a noticeable dip. Perhaps because taxes due in April and people unloading from mutual funds? But then it gaps up immediately afterwards. From there on the pattern varies, but for the last 5 years it's been the same. This may be the case with other stocks but I haven't checked.

Any comments?

>> How does he then explain buying the company to all of his customers that he convinced not to go with Informix?

Maybe with the same explanation used when he bought RDB from Digital - We'll help the Informix installed base by gradually moving them to our products, while at the same time making some dough from the services revenue we'll collect in the process. And we'll improve our technology with the best of what Informix and Stonebreaker have to offer. Just a hunch. :-)
