"There is no rape commanded in any of the passages you cited; is there?"

THERE CERTAINLY IS!

As I said:

"The butchers committing these heinous crimes were doing it in accordance with a covenant of very special treatment. They were guided by God and they were punished by God when they did wrong (such as when David did a census!!). They were NOT punished or chastised when they butchered non-virgins but allowed virgins to live to be raped!"

All the rapes were commanded by an earthly commander under the aegis of the Commander in Chief.

As COMMANDER MOSES commanded:

Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.

Only a moral misfit bereft of any conscience whatsoever would pretend not to understand that the murdering butchers were NOT about to give the young virgins a choice! Stop playing the fool. They were kept alive to be raped and enslaved. One can just imagine these murderous bastards going from girl to girl and checking their hymens to see which ones were to be butchered and which to be used as sex objects and perhaps even forced to be mothers.

God was quick to punish anyone who went against his feelings (witness David and the census count). So Moses was clearly acting in God's favor when he COMMANDED. So don't be stupid...

The WORD OF GOD

Deuteronomy 22:28-29

"If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver."

Of course, if they are NOT discovered, well...

Note that it is the father who is wronged and thus compensated!!

THE WORD OF GOD!!

<That substantiates my observation that you
"know" next to nothing about the bible.>

Still making 'wild eyed proclamations' I see.

ROFLMAO!! Such a hoot.

BTW... a 'fact' is a 'confirmed observation'... not one repeated like some mantra from the same mouth!!

DAK

THE WORD OF GOD!

Let us hear about "just Lot"...that "righteous man" loved by God!!

Genesis 19:6-8

"Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him and said, "No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing. Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don't do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof."

Genesis 19:30-36

"...and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father."

Sick bastard but loved by God and upheld as just and righteous!!

Citing a passage that set the penalty for a crime hardy shows that rape is commanded in the bible. In fact it shows the exact opposite of that. Thanks for that. BTW, If I did something like that the names would be flying, wouldn't they??

You don't like the penalty but that's because you are judging ancient people according to your modern standards and emotional feelings.
