Oh of course - I didn't mean to imply that it be made illegal. Just that it should be frowned on by all of us. That it shouldn't be accepted as ...that's just how it is in this country. But then to bolster your argument Bush/Cheney/Clinton pretty much disgraced the office to such a point that their whoring of the office was to be expected I guess.

I'm more concerned about lobbying than I am about guys giving speeches to colleges and business organizations.

Let's have publicly financed campaigns, with extremely strict limits on individual contributions (no corporations, partnerships, businesses, whatever).
