You are getting overly excited TJ. Russia isn't under discussion, it was the countries such as Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and what have you. Nor was it war with those countries which was discussed, it was supporting democratic processes the same as in Czech Republic, Slovakia, and what have you.

Exactly what "support" means wasn't explained. "Here's $100 billion" would be one sort of support. "Here's a free membership of NAFTA" would be another. "Let's form a reconstituted UN" would be a third. "Here are some free cars from Obamamotors" would be a fourth.

No war TJ. Back to snoozing.

I'm sure that any talk about ignoring "spheres of influence" does not mean the US will abandon the Monroe Doctrine.

Joe Biden is the Vice President. One of his jobs is to tell people what they want to hear, and make appropriate noises for various domestic political factions.

Again, Vice President.

John Nance Garner (from Wikipedia)

He was reelected Vice President in 1936 and served in that office from March 4, 1933 to January 20, 1941. Garner once described the vice presidency as being "not worth a bucket of warm piss."[2] This quote was bowdlerized for many decades to "not worth a bucket of warm spit" by the media. The incorrect version is still used on occasion.[citation needed] Garner once described a writer who quoted it this way as a "pantywaist."[3].
