That 15% number is interesting, that is the amount my insurer jacked up my rate this year after a 20% rise last year...

As I have posted before, I have federal Blue Cross. It is going up ten percent this coming year. The feds have always been able to get the best rates from insurers so 15% for smaller policies doesn't seem outrageous. Maybe some of that extra five percent is getting ahead of the legislation but not more than a couple of percent, I wouldn't think. At least ten percent of it is surely increased cost of care. Not that I'd blame them for dealing with the extraordinary uncertainty by creating a bit of a cushion.
