But you were still older than 15 when you guys moved to the US, right? I was 12 when I was removed from Sweden. Back again 2 years later I was chocked to discover how different my Swedish seemed to be from - the Swedes, from my old buddies. That's when I decided to start working on picking it back up again, to put in an effort to maintain and improve my mother tongue and keep it up to speed. And that has worked well for me. Hadn't I been back for say 10 years or so, well...that would have been a different story, because I wouldn't have known until then that I had a problem. My sister was 10 when we moved and her Swedish sucks. Going to our casa for 10 days over next weekend.
