<<But...............can't others make copies of credit cards and the like and go on a spending spree?>>

This is no shit and happened to me. I bought a coat online from a place I had used many times. Typed in my Master Card #. Instead of using that they issued me, and used, a new credit card.

Months later I started getting calls that I needed to pay the Visa from a a bank I never heard of. Then I was put in collection for not paying off the card I never had and had never gotten a bill from.

Turned out that the World Wide bank couldn't send me a statement because they DIDN'T HAVE MY ADDRESS WHEN THEY ISSUED THE FUKKING CARD THAT i NEVER GOT OR USED.

I got the state involved and got it all cleared up.
