And, frankly, what has sold for decades now is to back the administration until they get into real trouble and then turn on them. This was very noticeable under the previous administration and is no different now.

Except it didn't happen in the previous administration.

The press never backed Bush, they hated him from the outset because he wasn't a flaming liberal.

They supported him immediately after 9/11 solely because at the time, it was a cool thing for liberals to do. Of course, a few months later, liberals had forgotten about 9/11 (just as I had predicted they would) and only conservatives were for strong anti-terrorist action.

Liberals went back to politics as usual as soon as the furor died down. Liberals have short memories, minimal intellect.
