> player 1: My wife and I own a home in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for 7 years now. We have taken up to 20 flights a year back and forth for various reasons. Imagine our surprise, on the very first flight of the season, at the boarding gate, after showing id for a 3rd time, stood 4 burly CBSA agents, all armed and in uniform, questioning whether we were transporting currency or currency instruments that totalled $10,000.00 or more!!

Could it be related to this?

"4 burly CBSA agents, all armed and in uniform"

Armed CBSA agents? They have cuffs, pepper spray and possibly a baton but are never armed which is a good thing because they have less training than a mall cop.

CBSA agents feel perpetually threatened and when they need back up call in the RCMP who are actually armed and have the same training as a mall cop. They will kill if you inconvenience them and make them late for a Tim Horton's latte.

After the RCMP kill you they will attempt to cover up any evidence that they acted contrary to proper procedure and the same posse of cops that killed you will perform the inquiry.

My advice to anyone entering or leaving Canada is avoid Toronto and Vancouver.
