As I said before, this program is a drop in the bucket compared to stuff like the 189B to AIG in order to fund Joe Cassano's 'adventures in derivatives'... A bunch of that cash simply went into the coffers of outfits like Goldman Sachs to make good on AIG's bets.

That's a good example. That action was either stupid or corrupt or both. When bureaucrats spend other people's money, misallocation is to be expected.

I opposed the massive expenditures by Bush in trying to stop the economic collapse. Apparently, I was wrong and Bush was right; today, those expeditures are credited with stopping a total collapse of the economy.

You can't say that about the C4C program.

I don't view a wasted 3B any more favorably than a wasted $180B.
