You were the target group. People who kept their cars ten to fifteen years, terrific credit, very frugal, most paid in full from savings. This should be the prototype for all stimulus programs. It is targeted, stimulative, and with a lot of benefit all around.

The C4C simply cannibalized future month's sales. But cost the taxpayers 3 Billion.

Unfortuantely, the American people have no sense of what a billion is.

I suspect 80% (maybe more) of Americans cannot tell you how many zeros are on a billion, let alone a trillion. It means nothing to them.

Taking money from future generations so you can have a new car now is not a wise expenditure at this point in time.
