Apart from the fact that Maurice loves to prod folks and push buttons - we sometimes do sound hysterical.

Speak for yourself.

There are always fringe elements. There are always people who will believe what they want to believe.

But I do not believe, and never will, that criticizing government or politicians is to be discouraged because some of those politicos regard any push back as a sign of hysteria.

That just tells me that there are people in power who shouldn't be there.

You're falling for the Pelosi BS about dangerous tea party attendees.

This is the time for independent thought, not falling into the sheeple mode.

I believe the moderator expressed that view a while back too.

I suspect what troubles many on the thread is that Winn is full of critique on how we should judge our presidents and that we should all calm down because after all....

Hell, we all know that he is simply enamored with Obama like many other outsiders. Who wouldn't admire a guy who can spend a couple million taxpayer dollars taking his wife out to dinner at a fancy restaurant several hundred miles from home. Who wouldn't admire a guy who let's his wife take her entourage on a shopping trip to Paris in "her" airplane instead of sharing upper class with hubby.

New Zealand is a nice little country and the people are a friendly lot. But, I really don't give a hoot - what they think - about what I think - about "my" president.
