Re: "There is no border between Af and Pak." There is a 'border' there: the Durand Line. Drawn by British colonialists, it's intent was (similar to the strategy they attempted in Iraq which failed there as well) to divide powerful or numerous ethnic groups (mostly the Pastuns in Af/Pak)... the better to make controlling them and managing them easier for the Colonial masters. After-effects are still with us. Nationalism is a powerful force to try to go against....
