The ditch that I described was near 27th ave and Northern, LOL!

I did see other kids play in them, but those crawdads kinda scared me. The ditches weren't big enough to swim in, but the canals were. I didn't swim in those either. There are stories of kids in cars pulling other kids in water skis on the canals though, lol.

The old wooden bridge was to the ball field in back of Washington Elementary school where I attended grades 1-8. I grew up at 29th Ave and Northern - born and raised a Phoenician.
