"..it was the feeling of the german people that made the deepest impression. They were truly shocked and embarrassed at having ever held the USA in high esteem. Most i talked to, avoided insults to americans because they [the germans] knew what it was like to have to endure national shame because of a past leader. " LOL! My German friends were much more outspoken. They understood Bush getting elected the first time......every nation can make a mistake picking a leader. It was the second time that blew them away. As a people, we lost a lot of credibility in 2004.
