I agree. If you listen to Rush he's beats up on the 'moderate Republicans' just as much as the Dems. All they need is some organization... not easy.

But if they lose the Republican banner they will truly be marginalized. Maybe 10% of voters; an equivalent voice to the libertarians probably. The moderate Republicans will actually be strengthened.

And maybe we could get something done in this country with rational compromise and exchange of ideas.


I hope. I continue to feel this will not end well.....but maybe things are not that bad.

IMO the third party would be like the Republican party of the past. The one that won the Presidency in less than a decade of its founding.
