To run her computer you need a remote desktop program. You have one installed called Remote Assistance. I don't care for it so I use a freebie called Teamviewer. You install it on both computers and if you want fulltime access to her computer you would choose to load at startup on her computer. It will sit in the systray on her computer waiting for you to connect. Give it a try, it might be just what you need. I use it to remotely fix several friends computers.

I use two remote control programs regularly, RealVNC and Windows RemoteDesktop, both free.
