Until the last year, 120,000 would have been a days trading volume. We are at 234,000 now, just over an hour into trading. That would be about 1.4 million for the day. I'd call that good volume.

I don't disagree that it is still very susceptible to manipulation, because I suspect the shorts are big enough that even on good volume days they have the horsepower to sell big into it if they want. No evidence of that today so far.

There are some big offers, 10,000 to 13,000 being taken out pretty quickly. Someone is buying in size.

I still believe that when all this shakes out, institutions will have increased their ownership percentage by a lot, shorting or not.
