My wife had an acer which was loaded up with so much extraneous crap that we both hated it. I did a clean install of Vista on it which took out all the gunk, and now I love it!

Thanks, Joe. I just looked at the specs and they are almost exactly the same as a dell laptop I bought about 16 months ago and I paid 1k for it. Maybe I will buy it.
