I comprehended this: "There has been a huge immigration boom over the last twenty years from places such as China, Iraq, Russia, Africa, India. The theory is that these people will turn into productive good little Kiwis who will fill the coffers and pay the retirements and other perks to which hordes have become accustomed. It will gradually dawn on people that leopards don't change their spots. When the English came here, they didn't turn into Maoris. Similarly, Moslems will want to introduce their way of life including stonings, beheadings and Chinese will vote for people to look after their own families and will be reluctant to pay for lazy dissolute wastrel Baby Boomers to live off their efforts through social welfare. The descendants of Baby Boomers can barely look after themselves and will have little interest in looking after their dopey parents. Life could get quite grim quite quickly for a lot of beneficiary bludgers in NZ. Meanwhile, what was created over a century is being run down and over run, with nobody pausing to think who built the well and to consider that they should be building wells too. I would not want to depend in my old age [or now] on the largess of young Moslems, Indians, Chinese, Russians, Africans and brazilians. I don't see why they should think that they should pay for me. They are here for what they can get out of it, not for what they can put in. They have come from dog eat dog worlds where the Devil takes the hindmost. They aren't going to want to work for low pay to fund dissolute old wastrels. Tradable citizenships was the answer and still is. But the value has been heavily diluted and continues to erode. The worst racism in Latino countries are Latino to Latino. The have a very decisive pecking order. Everything is about family, friends and connections and they all brag it up about their police connections or about knowing the mayor etc... Very few get hired on merit. They are all very suspicious about Asian people. I add to the problem saying that very soon the Chinese will take over Latin America which really really frightens them.
